Piss us off, we’re coming after you
Rooting through your trash, digging up the yard
Gossip behind your back, it’s not so hard
Every Sunday, we all go to church
The perfect town as long as you don’t search

But behind the patchwork of the American flag
The truth festers like an old wound gone bad
homelessness and corrupt cops who kick the shit
Out of anyone out after dark you never hear about it
Racism and classism flood the sunny suburban streets
The life of a small town it can’t be beat

We got a bar, a store and a town hall
Business booms with the tourists in the fall
When the liberal freaks come up from the city
We chase their kind off, show them no pity
Fuck those punks, pagans, leftists and queers
‘Cause we have out god and we have our steers
Our little town is the best it can be
With our white-picket cage you’ll never need to be free

When the lights go out and the curtains close
All those little secrets we like to expose
Sexual deviancy, drug dependency and a whole lot more
Keep your head down on your way to the liquor store
Husband slaps his wife, adults molest kids
The guilt and cost of our lie we just can’t be rid

Mow your lawn and wash your car
Middle-management job you’ve come far
Keep the lie strong, big and alive
